An Exciting New Chapter for McLean Financial Services

We’ve teased you long enough… and while the festive season may have been filled with mince pies and celebrations, there’s also been a great deal happening behind the scenes at McLean Financial Services.

Since early 2025, our Director, Cameron, has been carefully working on ways to further enhance both our client experience and the day-to-day working lives of our team. This journey has been driven by one clear priority: investing in better technology and support systems that allow our advisers and administrators to do what they do best.

At the heart of our service are the systems that support our advisers and admin team.When these systems work seamlessly, they help us deliver a smooth, efficient and stress-free experience for our clients. Cameron’s focus has been on finding technology that streamlines processes, reduces unnecessary administration and supports faster, clearer communication with lenders and providers.

Technology continues to evolve rapidly, and tools such as AI are now an everyday part of modern working life. By embracing automation and intelligent systems where appropriate, we can remove many of the routine but time-consuming tasks that sit behind every mortgage application. This allows our team to spend more time progressing cases, resolving queries and securing mortgage offers efficiently.Ultimately, a supported and empowered team means a better experience for our clients.

And now for the big announcement…

We are delighted to share that McLean Financial Services Ltd has made the decision to transition from the PRIMIS network and join the Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB)network. From February 2026, McLean Financial Services Ltd will become an Appointed Representative of Mortgage Advice Bureau.

Cameron and Mabel have been working closely on the transition, and we have been incredibly impressed by the systems, technology and support available through MAB. With the guidance of the MAB team, we are very much looking forward to the official handover on 1st February 2026 and the opportunities this partnership brings.

What does this mean for our clients?

Simply put, an even better experience. Clients will benefit from access to enhanced digital tools, including an app designed to support and educate first-time buyers throughout their journey, as well as calculators that help explore options and understand the key figures from the very start. Tools which complement the advice given by our team, helping our clients to visualise their property and insurance goals.

Behind the scenes, improved systems will allow our admin team to track cases more efficiently and proactively, helping to move applications forward smoothly—without losing the personal service and care that our team at McLean Financial Services is known for.  And we all know that a happy team is the end goal of it all.  

We’re incredibly excited about this next chapter and look forward to continuing to support our clients with even greater efficiency, insight and care.  

Going Forward

2026 certainly started in an unexpected manner for those in the North East and Highlands of Scotland.  But our new chapter starting in February (officially) and the training our team has undergone, means we start 2026 with excitement and optimism.  

Behind the scenes we may have some teething issues as we ease into a brand new system, to us anyway, what we have received from MAB shows us we have the support, knowledge and can-do attitude of an experienced team to help us.  From generating reports on Power BI (which practically made Mabel and Cameron swoon) to the regular weekly meetings and touch pointswith MAB as we started the transition.  

As a team, we are certain that 2026 will be a great year for us as we bring about better technology to make processes slicker for everyone, in turn improving our service to our clients.
